Living quarters at Dalton State

Dalton Daily Citizen

Mason Horton, left, and Miller Horton carry a couch upstairs at Dalton State College’s student housing at the former Wood Valley Apartments on Wednesday. Furniture is being installed in preparation for the arrival of the college’s first residential students, slated to move in around Aug. 15. The complex will house more than 250 beds in fully-furnished apartment-style units complete with basic cable and Internet service. A laundry facility is on site and 24-hour security will be provided by the college’s Public Safety department. A limited number of spaces are still available, but to be eligible for housing, students must be enrolled in a minimum of nine credit hours.
