DHS holding food drive

To help combat hunger in the community, Dalton High School will hold the second annual Cats Care Food Drive Nov. 16-20. Many clubs and student organizations are teaming up to make the food drive a huge event. The entire student body is asked to donate non-perishable food and household items.

On Friday, Nov. 20, the community can directly join the effort by dropping off food donations at Dalton High.

Last year, the community provided more than 5,000 cans of food and other items to the food drive. The recipients included Central Church of Christ; Salvation Army Food Pantry; DOC-UP (Dalton Organization of Churches); Harvest Ministries; Providence Ministries; American Red Cross; and Templo Cristo Vive Hispanic Ministry Food Pantry.
