Blood Assurance program planned

Blood Assurance, the area’s regional blood provider for 47 healthcare facilities, is offering donors who give “the gift of life” an opportunity to win a “Gift of the Month” for one year.

Now through May 10, visitors can register at any area Blood Assurance location or blood drive and donors will receive a free t-shirt of their choosing. Three recipients will win a one year subscription to the “Gift of the Month” club, where they can choose to receive fruit, flowers, coffee, chocolate, cookies or teddy bears every month for one year from Blood Assurance. Winners will be drawn on Tuesday, May 13.

Blood Assurance, headquartered in Chattanooga, Tennessee, has been supplying blood components to area hospitals for 35 years. Over 400 blood donors are needed every day to adequately supply our healthcare facilities.
