• The spring meeting of Church Women United will be held March 6 at 11:30 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church. Lunch will be served.

• The Profitts will be in concert Sunday at 11 a.m. at City View Church of God.

• Antioch Baptist Church will begin a series of classes based on the movie “Fireproof” each Sunday at 4:30 p.m.
The series is titled “The Love Dare Challenge” and is for married, engaged and dating couples. Classes will last eight weeks. Cost is for materials.

Grace Presbyterian Church will hold its annual missions conference March 6-8 with the Rev. Morgan ‘Mo’ Leverett as guest speaker.
Leverett is a singer, songwriter, teacher, urban theologian and inspirational storyteller. He serves as senior pastor at CenterPoint Church in Tallahassee, Fla. Prior to joining CenterPoint, Leverett was founder and director of Desire Street Ministries, an urban revitalization ministry in the challenging Desire housing project in the Upper Ninth Ward of New Orleans.

• New Life Baptist Church will have its annual missions revival March 11-15.
Sunday services begin at 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., with remaining services beginning at 7 p.m. Guest preachers will be Brother Tony Howeth, Brother Jerry Atkins, Brother Tom Guirt and Brother Ken Trivette. A nursery will be available.

• Harmony Baptist Church will host a benefit singing for cancer patient Kenneth Prue March 7 at noon.
Special singers include New Melodies and others. There will also be a cakewalk, bake sale and door prizes. Lunch will be provided after the singing. Raffle tickets for door prizes are $1 each and may be purchased in the fellowship hall immediately following the singing.

• Dogwood Valley Baptist Church will have an old-fashioned revival March 1-6 with Dr. Stinnet Ballew as guest evangelist. Sunday services begin at 6 p.m. with remaining services beginning at 7:30 p.m. There will be special singing each night.

The first is at 9 a.m. and features traditional hymnal music. The second is at 11 a.m. and features praise and worship music. Sunday school is at 10 a.m.

• Holly Creek Baptist Church is offering a 10-day tour of the Holy Land beginning Oct. 20 from Atlanta. The tour includes Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nazareth, Sea of Galilee, Capernaum, Petra and Jerash.

• A day to honor Frank Chastain is today from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Faith Worship Center in Chatsworth. Breakfast and fellowship will be from 8 to 9:30 a.m. followed by singing.

• Each Thursday at noon and 6 p.m. during Lent, Dalton First United Methodist Church will present a 30-minute service in the chapel. The noon service is followed by a soup and sandwich luncheon for $6.
A series of guest speakers will preach on the theme “Restoring the teachings of Jesus to our lives to give us purpose and joy.” On Thursday, the guest speaker will be the Rev. Rhoda Howell of Trinity United Methodist Church in Dalton who will speak on “Embracing Eternal Life.”
