A downed tree briefly took out power to 1,828 North Georgia Electric Membership Corp. customers Friday afternoon.
The tree fell across a power line on Bethel Church Road, just east of the North Dalton Bypass, around 12:30 p.m. It took crews about 40 minutes to restore power, according to NGEMC officials.
