Arrests for May 27



• Jamie Andres, 22, 37 Fourth Ave., Chattanooga, Tenn., was charged Sunday by the Dalton Police Department with aggravated assault and battery.

• Raymond Wilson Cantrell Jr., 20, 983 Beaverdale Road, Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, expired tag, driving without a license and a seat belt violation.

• Jacinto Chahal, 22, 314 McBrien Road, Chattanooga, Tenn., was charged Sunday by the Dalton Police Department with aggravated assault and battery.

• Jose Luis Contreras, 22, 602 Morningside Drive, Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with first degree forgery, giving false information or a false name, driving without a license, driving with a suspended tag and no insurance.

• Andres Defelipe, 19, 2015 Bennett Ave., Chattanooga, Tenn., was charged Sunday by the Dalton Police Department with aggravated assault and battery.

• Nicolas Ramirez Escobar, 224, 314 McBryan Road, Chattanooga, Tenn., was charged Sunday by the Dalton Police Department with aggravated assault and battery.

• Felipe Francisco Marcos, 18, 2016 Bennett Ave., Chattanooga, Tenn., was charged Sunday by the Dalton Police Department with aggravated assault and battery.

• Travis Scott Mathews, 35, 200 Weaver Spur, Chatsworth, was charged Sunday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with driving with a suspended or revoked license, speeding, DUI, open container of alcohol in the vehicle and habitual violator.

• Gabriel Meza, 35, 812 Park St., Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of tools for the commission of a crime, failure to appear, open container of alcohol in the vehicle and driving with a withdrawn license.

• Jamie Lynn O’Kelley, 22, 3577 Highway 337, Lafayette, was charged Sunday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI.

• Jerri Rennee Duck, 42, Eton, was charged Monday by the Chatsworth Police Department with DUI, hit and run and failure to drive within a single lane.

• Arturo Gonzalez, 27, 142 North Orchard, Lot 13, Ellijay, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI, failure to drive within a single lane and driving without a license.

• Kimberly Wayne Griffin, 551, 156 Bethel Church Road, Dalton, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI.

• Douglas Wayne Moon, 66, 2012 Tunnel Hill-Varnell Road, Tunnel Hill, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with terroristic threats and acts.

• Anthony Dewayne Ovbey, 28, 249 Blackfoot Drive, Crandall, was charged Monday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with illegal possession of prescription drugs and failure to keep drugs in the original container.
