Lane on Walnut Avenue to be closed Thursday

— One eastbound lane of Walnut Avenue will be closed on Thursday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. for work by Whitfield County on paving Rosedale Drive. Delays are expected, and the Georgia Department of Transportation advises motorists to avoid the area if possible.

Georgia 511 is a free phone service that provides real-time traffic and travel information statewide, such as traffic conditions, incidents, lane closures and delays due to inclement weather.
