Area Arrests

• Skylar Keith Caldwell, 20, 502 Saxon Drive, Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

• Joseph Michael Dixon, 40, 180 Shady Lane, Orange City, Fla., was charged Sunday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with fugitive from justice (failure to register as a sex offender).

• Terry Lee Painter, 29, 17 Brookwalk Drive, Chatsworth, was charged Sunday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with DUI.

• Pedro Antonio Vasquez, 32, 438 Lafayette Road, No. 11, Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with driving without a license, DUI and simple battery (family violence).

• Jackie Randall Ely, 70, 4774 Lakeside Drive, Blairsville, was charged Monday by the Eton Police Department with DUI.

• Tomi Virginia Swanson, 17, 1009 Cargle Drive, Dalton, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
