Area Arrests for Sept. 11

— • Adam Basurto Garcia, 32, 729 Wood Road, Tunnel Hill, was charged Tuesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of Xanax, theft by receiving stolen property, possession of a firearm or knife while trying to commit crimes and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.
• Edward Garlington Jr., 44, 456 Heather Court, Atlanta, was charged Tuesday by the Dalton Police Department with first degree forgery.
• Claudia Janet Gutierez, 19, 809 Conway St., Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of Xanax, possession of tools for the commission of a crime, theft by receiving stolen property and possession of a firearm or knife while trying to commit crimes.
• Ricky Carlon Hammontree Jr., 33, 311 S. Grade Drive, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with terroristic threats and acts (family violence) and harassing phone calls.
• Marsha Elaine Hyde, 55, 1191 Summerour Church Road, Crandall, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with illegal possession of a controlled substance.
• Marisol Munguia, 39, 1104 Washington St., Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with first degree forgery, theft by deception and identity theft.
• Torrance Lanard Statham, 34, 275 Prior St., Atlanta, was charged Tuesday by the Dalton Police Department with first degree forgery, drug possession and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.
• Cathy Ann Pugh, 35, 485 Old Highway 2, Cisco, was charged Tuesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with illegal possession of prescription drugs with the intent to distribute.
• Jimmy Ray Sharp Jr., 25, 436 Davenport Road, Resaca, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI and open container of alcohol in vehicle.
