• William Clifford Ridley, 43, 2426 Waring Road, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Dalton Police Department with battery (family violence), false imprisonment, giving false information or a false name to law enforcement officers, kidnapping, aggravated assault (family violence), carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a firearm or knife while trying to commit crimes.

• Mark William Hankins, 41, 1505 Bentgrass Lane, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with laying drags, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, reckless driving, failure to stop for a stop sign, improper passing, driving with a suspended tag, DUI (less safe) and failure to drive within a single lane.

• Marco Antonio Miranda, 23, 1851 Access Road, Covington, was charged Wednesday by the Dalton Police Department with driving without a license, failure to drive within a single lane and DUI.

• Sheena Locoal Newberry, 20, 151 George Brock Road, Resaca, was charged Wednesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with underage consumption of alcohol, failure to keep drugs in their original container and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

• Crystal Lavone Osborne, 28, 204 Chandlers Ridge Road, Chatsworth, was charged Wednesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with possession of methamphetamine, a tail light violation, failure to keep drugs in their original container, driving without a license, expired tag, obstructing an intersection, no tag and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.
