Area arrests for October 26

• Sidney Eugene Covington, 32, 3930 Stover Creek Road, Dalton, was charged Saturday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with battery and aggravated assault.

• Hazel Louise Pratt, 46, 51 New Hope Road, Chatsworth, was charged Saturday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with forgery in the first degree.

• Jacob Nathaniel Silvers, 23, 440 Smyrna Circle, Chatsworth, was charged Saturday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with kidnapping and false imprisonment.

• Mariano Azua Jr., 22, 1304 Coker Road, Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of tools for the commission of a crime, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a schedule II drug, possession of a schedule IV drug, obstruction of a law enforcement officer, tampering with evidence, a taillight violation and driving on a suspended license.

• Paul Brandon Creel, 23, 1304 N. Tibbs Road, Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of tools for the commission of a crime, a child support arrest order, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and possession of methamphetamine.

• Leanard Cicil Hall, 51, 64 Guides St., Eton, was charged Sunday by the Eton Police Department with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, DUI, fleeing or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer, and failure to stop at a stop sign.

• Francheska Renee Hartman, 27, 1515 Byers St., Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI, driving without insurance, driving on a suspended tag, a taillight violation, and driving without a license on person.

• Debbi Rashel Long, 25, 161 Autumn Drive, Chatsworth, was charged Sunday by the Eton Police Department with DUI (second offense) and driving without headlights.

• Stephen Rogers, 42, 1110 Browns Bridge Road, Chatsworth, was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI and failure to maintain lane.
