Area Arrests for Nov. 6



• Brian Shannon Blackwell, 34, 858 Sam Love Road, Rocky Face, was charged Monday by the Varnell Police Department with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

• Tyler Whitt Horne, 18, 205 Tunnel Hill Church Road, Tunnel Hill, was charged Monday by the Dalton Police Department with shoplifting and possession of marijuana.

• Trey Darnell Toney, 23, 7833-A Avalon Acres Court, Chattanooga, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI, failure to drive within a single lane, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and driving with a withdrawn license.

• Donald Henry Chastain, 17, 2614 Roberts Ave., Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with failure to appear, a probation violation, obstruction of a law enforcement officer, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, reckless driving, failure to drive within a single lane, a turning violation, driving with a withdrawn license, expired tag, a windshield violation, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, a tires violation, driving within a gore, failure to stop for a stop sign and bondsman off bond.

• Leon Victor Emtrekin, 61, 422 Crandall Ellijay Road, Chatsworth, was charged Tuesday by the Eton Police Department with DUI and open container of alcohol in the vehicle.

• Josephine Lynn Ferrer, 36, 152 Creekside Drive, McCaysville, was charged Tuesday by the Georgia State Patrol with DUI and failure to drive within a single lane.

• Jonathan Earl Frady, 18, 3555 Keith Valley Road, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with bondsman off bond, failure to keep drugs in their original container, probation violation and four counts of illegal possession of prescription drugs.

• Dallas Benjamin York, 17, 650 Peoples Road, Chatsworth, was charged Tuesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with terroristic threats and acts.

• Gary Lee Cross, 29, 1300 Ludie St., Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Dalton Police Department with driving without headlights, suspended tag, no insurance, driving with a withdrawn license, possession of tools for the commission of a crime and a child support arrest order.
