Woman injured in fire

From staff reports

A Dalton woman suffered “minor” burns on her hands after her stove caught fire Sunday evening, fire officials said.

The woman, whose name wasn’t immediately available Sunday evening, was treated on the scene for the burns, said Cpt. Chris Cox with the Dalton Fire Department. There were no other injuries.

The stove in the house at 106 South Grimes St., caught fire around 5:20 p.m. The fire did not cause much damage to the house, Cox said.

Cox said he did not know Sunday evening what caused the stove to catch fire.
