Mrs. Jessie Wilkie Shields

— Mrs. Jessie Wilkie Shields, age 101, of Tennga, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2009, at her residence.
Jessie was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Tennga.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Sophia Puckett Wilkie, a son, Robert Shields, and husband, Stanton Judge Shields.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie Sue and Paul Higdon of Tennga; grandchildren, Connie Rombold of Dalton, Steve Higdon of Resaca and Allen Higdon of Old Fort, Tenn.; great-grandchildren, Josh, Jacob, and Stanton Higdon, Stacie Beach, Chris Ratcliff, and Rebekah Rombold; great-great-grandchildren, Tryston, Bella, and Caden Ratcliff, Jackson, Mason, and Maddox Higdon, and Drake Beach; nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Sunday, July 5, 2009, at 2:30 p.m. at the Liberty Baptist Church in Tennga with the Rev. Randall Headrick and the Rev. Lee Ingram officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
