Former Dalton High runner John Bruner, shown in green competing with the Georgia College and State University track team earlier this year at a meet in Washington, D.C., collapsed during an Aug. 4 road race in Chattanooga and later died. A medical examiner has determined his death was caused by an “artery anomaly.”
