Dolphins' win streak over at 29

Signal Mountain defeated the Dalton Dolphins, 475-328, Thursday night and captured the Blue Division championship in the Chattanooga Area Swim League.

The loss snapped the Dolphins’ 29-meet winning streak.

Signal Mountain finishes the regular season with a 7-1 record while Dalton is 5-1. The sason-ending CASL City Meet is scheduled to begin with diving competition on Wednesday at The Baylor School in Chattanooga. The swimming portion of the City Meet starts July 25 and concludes on July 26.

Rylee Maret and Chas Jones each scored 17 points to lead Dalton while Peyton Maret added 16 and Tanner Storey and Joana Rosales had 15 each.

Jacob Myers and Maranda Storey each scored 13 points and Macie Maret and Stephens Jones finished with 12.

McCall Waldrop and Elizabeth News each scored 11 points and Oli Valdez rounded out the double-figure scoring for the Dolphins with 10.

The Dolphins defeated Signal Mountain’s Green Giants, 421-403, in an earlier meet at the Dalton Recreation Department pool on June 23.
