Murray JV pitcher, Timms, throws no-hitter

Murray County junior varsity softball pitcher Karli Timms threw a six-inning no-hitter, striking out 10, in a 5-0 victory over Cass on Wednesday.

Kolby Keener went 3-for-3 and scored twice for the Lady Indians (1-1). Alley Palmer and Courtney Goforth ead had a hit and scored a run. Goforth also had a RBI.

In varsity action, Cass beat Murray County 1-0, with the Lady Indians managing just three hits, singles by Kayla Brock, Sarah Kilgore and Shelby Wilbanks.

Kilgore was the losing pitcher, allowing the one run on five hits. She struck out six.
