Hamilton Healthmobile lowers price of blood test in February
Submitted by Hamilton Health Care System
Hamilton Medical Center’s Healthmobile has lowered the price from $15 to $10 for a complete lipid panel test for the month of February, National Heart Month.
The lipid panel includes total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL and LDL (good and bad cholesterol) and coronary heart disease risk factor.
“In these difficult economic times, a lot of people have lost their insurance and can’t afford regular doctor visits,” said Tina Holt, nurse practitioner. “We have the mobile health service to increase access of the medically underserved to primary health care services.”
Services offered by the 40-foot, medically equipped Healthmobile also include pregnancy testing and referral, blood pressure screening, diabetes screening, HIV (AIDS) screening and treatment or referral for acute illnesses.
