Whitfield County Historic Preservation Commission meeting

The quarterly meeting of the Whitfield County Historic Preservation Commission will be at 6:30 p.m. at the North Georgia Regional Development Center.
The agenda includes amending bylaws to increase the number of commission members, recommend to the Board of Commissioners that they appoint Paul Belk and Bill Blackman to the commission, and appointing a nominating committee to seek new commission members to serve on the expanded commission.
The meeting is open to the public.

Murray County Board of Education work session

Board work sessions begin at 6 p.m. and are held at the central office of Murray County Schools, 715 Chestnut St. in Chatsworth.

Meet Brian Anderson

The Executive Board of the Dalton-Whitfield Chamber of Commerce, staff and Leadership Dalton-Whitfield Alumni Association are hosting a welcome reception for new chamber president Brian Anderson from 5 to 7 p.m.
The reception will be in the chamber offices at 890 College Drive. Chamber members and members of the community are invited to drop in and meet and greet Brian and Heather Anderson.
