Showcase of the Stars auditions

Students with dreams of being a star can have their moment in the spotlight at the Sixth Annual Showcase of the Stars, a family-oriented musical talent show and fundraiser hosted by the Whitfield Education Foundation.
Auditions are set for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Whitfield County Career Academy. This year, there will be a $20 fee for auditions to be held on a first come, first served basis.
The $20 fee includes three tickets with a face value of $21 to the show on Saturday, Nov. 15, at the Wink Theatre in Dalton.
Lip-syncing is not allowed. Performers need to bring their own backup music on CD or be prepared to sing a cappella. The song used during the audition must be the song to be performed at the show. Musicians should prepare two different songs in case their first choice has been selected by a previous contender.
