Here are the notes and news from the week in pro wrestling:
The Rock might be rolling with WWE audiences again. During a radio interview with Mix 104 in Boston, The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) hinted he may have a long-term role on “Raw.”
“Hosting a show like that would give me the opportunity to get on the microphone, rip open the writing and invite guests on to come host with me,” Johnson said. “We wanted to create something cool and big and fun for the audience.”
There’s a buzz around TNA. And now, it appears legendary wrestler Ric Flair is ready to step back in the ring. In an interview with The Virginian-Pilot, Flair said he will wrestle for the organization soon. Flair’s last match was at “Wrestlemania” in March 2008.
“And probably sooner than later, much to my dismay,” Flair told the newspaper. "Things are happening quickly.”
Former TNA, WCW, WWE (et al.) wrestler Scott Steiner is now accepting independent bookings. He and brother Rick are also appearing again as the Steiner Brothers.
