Autism workshop in Chattanooga

A free workshop on Career Planning, Development and Job Placement for People with Disabilities will be held on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Chattanooga Autism Center, 1000 E. Third St., Medical Tower’s building, in Chattanooga. RSVP is required; call (423) 622-0500 or send an e-mail to [email protected].

This workshop is for people with developmental disabilities�looking for work or to change jobs, as well as parents who want to begin thinking about and preparing for when their child with autism spectrum disorders or other developmental disabilities will be looking for jobs and careers. Elonzo Reyes, a vocational rehabilitation counselor with the Tennessee Department of Human Services, and June Grimes, director of Caring Inc., will speak on the services available to those with qualifying disabilities who want to work.
