Pink! 2010 - Celebrating five years

Submitted by Memorial Heath Care System

CHATTANOOGA — The Memorial Health Care System Foundation’s distinctive gala Pink! will be held Saturday, January 30, 2010, at 6:30 p.m. at the Chattanooga Convention Center. One of Chattanooga’s signature galas, Pink! is soaring to new levels of entertainment and continuing its support for the MaryEllen Locher Breast Center at Memorial.

Alexis and Barry Bogo are chairing the volunteer committee dedicated to honoring cancer survivors, their loving families and caregivers. An elegant and exciting evening is planned in celebration of the fifth anniversary of Pink! and all that the event has made possible. Guests will enjoy cocktails, dinner, entertainment and an amazing silent auction. A special highlight of the evening will be dancing to the beat of the Party on the Moon Band. This nationally sought-after band has performed at a variety of venues, including one of the official Inaugural Balls for President Barack Obama.

“Proceeds from Pink! will be used to support expansion of the MaryEllen Locher Breast Center at Ooltewah, scheduled to open in mid-2010,” says Hicks Armor, Memorial Foundation Board Chair. “This Mountain View Road satellite facility will offer digital mammography and breast ultrasound, with the same coordination of fast diagnosis, professional guidance, and physician consultation available at our Memorial Hospital location.”

“Chattanooga has a reputation of giving generously to worthy causes, and I am impressed with the tremendous outpouring of support for Pink! and the Memorial Foundation,” says Jim Hobson, President and CEO of Memorial Health Care System. “We hope to positively affect the lives of many more individuals and families through early cancer detection with our expansion into the Ooltewah community.”

Chattem, Inc. is again the generous presenting sponsor of Pink! The Chattanooga Times Free Press is sponsoring the entertainment this year, and other individuals and corporations are adding their support to advance the level of health care for women in the Chattanooga area.

Tickets for Pink! are $200 per person including cocktails and dinner. Patron tickets of $350 per person provide access to an exclusive Pink! patron party in addition to dinner, table-side bar service, valet/reserved parking, and premium seating at Pink!

For more information about sponsorship opportunities or to purchase tickets, please call Memorial Health Care System Foundation at (423) 495-PINK or visit www.memorial.org/pink.
