Tandus wins designer award

Dalton-based Tandus’ “Manufactured Landscapes Collection” was honored with a “Best of the Year Designer’s Choice Product Award” in the carpet tile category by Interior Design Magazine. The honor came at an awards ceremony at New York’s Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum earlier this month.

“The inspiration for Manufactured Landscapes came about from an awareness of what is going on in the environment and how we can be instrumental in changing the way people look at carpet,” said Suzanne Tick, design director for Tandus, who came up with the collection. “It is an honor for Tandus, a company with a rich history of innovation, to be recognized with such a prestigious award for a product that goes beyond conventional product design.”

Now in their third year, the Best of the Year Awards are sponsored by Interior Design and honor superior interior design projects and products in more than 50 categories. A jury of leading architects and designers chooses the Designer’s Choice winners.
